Chiara Patrizi is Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the Alma Mater-Studiorum - University of Bologna, in partnership with Duke University, working on a research project titled “Wilderness of Time: Timescapes of Contemporary US Literature.” She holds a PhD in American Literature from the University of Roma Tre, an MA in American Studies from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Her research interests include US Literature and Culture of the 20th and 21st centuries, Trauma Studies, temporality in literature, and Black Studies. She has published essays on, among others, Don DeLillo, Octavia Butler, Jesmyn Ward, Rivers Solomon. She is in the Editorial Board of JAm It! Journal of American Studies in Italy. Her first monograph, on trauma and temporality in Kurt Vonnegut and Don DeLillo, is forthcoming for Bologna University Press (2026).
