Earning my English degree from Duke has played a significant role in every facet of my work life - starting out as a reporter for the Associated Press to a twenty-five-year legal career to now as an author and playwright. My ability to write clearly, concisely and persuasively, which I discovered and refined while at Duke, has been an invaluable asset. I owe quite a lot to the English curriculum and writing professors I had at Duke.
