I teach writing and literature courses as part of the Culinary Institute of America's Department of Food Studies and Liberal Arts

My time in Duke's English PhD program enabled me to grow as a researcher, as an academic, and as a teacher. I entered Duke knowing that I wanted to teach college. I left with a deeper understanding of why I cared so much about American literature and a stronger appreciation for the fundamental work that can be done with academic writing.
