I plan to apply to medical school next cycle!
My English Degree at Duke has guided me in better understanding how to hold contradiction/nuance, communicate abstract ideas, identify and address injustices, and connect across difference. I was able to develop close reading and writing skills through my English degree. What I am carrying forward from studying English at Duke will strongly shape my work as a future physician and writer.
