2017
After Duke, I graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2020. After law school, I spent a year clerking for a federal district judge (who also happens to be a Duke alum) in Raleigh, NC. I then moved to Washington, DC, where I currently work for a law firm.
As an attorney, I use my Duke English degree in my daily work. My English degree taught me to write persuasive arguments, think analytically, and to tackle long, complex writing assignments. My English degree also provided a practice in empathizing with others' stories, something I found indelible when working in the court system.
