While much of campus life at Duke will be on hold due to the threat of COVID-19, work on a handful of road and utility projects is moving forward. A traffic light will be installed, some campus thoroughfares will be refreshed and construction already underway will continue. NEW YORK — As the coronavirus spread in March, poet Ada Limon struggled at first to write, feeling “flattened and silenced” by a pandemic that had shut down much of the world she knew. “I could call nothing to me. While Duke University has delayed its formal commencement ceremony this year thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, it will still produce nearly 6,000 new graduates this month.
