On July 1, 2020, Duke University will prohibit the use of all tobacco-based products, including but not limited, to cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, hookahs, chewing tobacco, snuff and electronic smoking devices. While much of campus life at Duke will be on hold due to the threat of COVID-19, work on a handful of road and utility projects is moving forward. The Fortin Foundation Bass Connections Showcase is an annual event for student team members to share their research highlights with the community. This year, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, teams have drawn on virtual means to communicate which challenges they tackled, how they approached their work and what they learned.
