'Keep Teaching Updates' Are Now 'Flexible Teaching Updates'
Duke | Flexible Teaching
Keep Teaching (keepteaching.duke.edu) was designed to support Duke’s teaching community in the quick and unexpected transition to emergency remote teaching. Though this Fall will be unlike any other in Duke’s history, we have the opportunity to prepare for it and design courses that can withstand the challenges that Fall might present by following the approach described on the new Flexible Teaching website (flexteaching.li.duke.edu).
To reflect this shift, we are changing the name of this newsletter to Flexible Teaching Updates and will send it every Wednesday to support you as you prepare for Fall 2020. A few updates since we first announced the Flexible Teaching website:
We have provided a set of Blueprints to give you an idea of what flexible teaching may look like for your course. Teaching a small seminar? We have a few ideas to get you started. Teaching a large class with multiple sections? We have some ideas for you, too.
A Guide to Course Materials is now available. This guide will help you identify existing online materials and explain how to create your own content for your course.
We will offer many Workshops on topics related to flexible teaching in the coming weeks, the first of which will focus on two new Sakai templates that can help you organize your course for online and remote learners this Fall.
