The Theory of Flight: Conversation Between Authors Siphiwe Gloria Ndlovu and Tsitsi Jaji

Red Rice & Beans Diaspora Bookstore (RRB) hosts a discussion between authors Siphiwe Gloria Ndlovu and Tsitsi Jaji. The two will discuss Siphiwe's recently released book The Theory of Flight, an award-winning novel set in an unnamed country in Southern Africa. Through the lives of a few families and the fate of a single patch of ground, the novel explores decades of national history – from colonial occupation through the freedom struggle.

Tsitsi Jaji is an associate professor of English at Duke University, and the author of Africa in Stereo: Music, Modernism and Pan-African Solidarity (Oxford University Press), as well as the poetry collections Mother Tongues (Northwestern University Press)  and Beating the Graves  (University of Nebraska Press).
