Financial services sales professional at DTCC, JPMorgan Chase and HSBC Bank USA
I never intended to go into finance. Sure, I was fine with math but I couldn't model and I-banking sounded atrocious to me. I quickly learned that I had a knack for sales. Why? Someone has to explain financial products... in English! Having an English major afforded me the ability to communicate in a way to have others understand the products/services related to cash management. At the end of the day, if I can't explain it, I won't be successful. Being an English major continues to help me organize my thoughts in order to effectively communicate.
