Professional Background

At the Bolch Judicial Institute at Duke Law, I I lead content development to support the Institute’s mission and to publicize its activities, programs, and research. I also serve as staff editor of Judicature, the Institute’s journal about judging and the rule of law.

How has your English degree from Duke shaped your work life?

After Duke, I earned a JD, secured an appellate clerkship, and then became a freelance writer for many years. I spent five years as Senior Writer & Editor at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, and now I hold a similar position at the Bolch Judicial Institute at Duke Law. I am also the author of four true crime books.
