Has worked as an academic and special librarian in Turkey, German, Illinois, and New York for 23 years before going to work at the professional association for academic and research librarians where I've been the past 14 years.
I am a better writer for having been an English major at Duke. My advancement has been linked to my ability to communicate well, whether through grant proposals, curriculum design, survey research, fundraising, marketing, outreach, you name it.
