Professional Background

I taught 42 years in the English Department of MTSU, at first as an adjunct and eventually as a tenured faculty member. In addition to the General Education English courses, I taught Children's Literature and Legal Writing and Research. I also served as the first Director of the University Writing Center. After my retirement, the Center was named the Margaret H. Ordoubadian University Writing Center.

How has being an English graduate from Duke University helped shape your professional success?

My B.A. in English from Duke opened the door for my first jobs after graduation. It was excellent preparation for graduate school and for Law School.
