I teach in the Writing and Rhetoric Program at UVA, where I specialize in community-engaged pedagogy. I also teach Travel Writing and 20th century literature.
My coursework and professors at Duke encouraged my passion for writing and literature. I wrote an honors thesis my senior year under the direction of Marianna Torgovnick, and that first experience with literary scholarship influenced my decision to earn a Ph.D. and pursue an academic career.
