Before joining the Health team at Apple as a writer, I worked in magazines and digital editorial at places like Jane, Allure, YM, Marie Claire, Fashionista, and Cosmopolitan. I also created and continue to run a pop culture-focused Substack called We Have Notes. This fall semester (2024), I will be teaching a class I created at the Indiana University Media School called Pop Culture, Storytelling, and Media.
My degree and the amazing classes I took at Duke have helped shaped the way I think (critically and holistically), analyze, and process all the content that I read and take in—along with the way I write. There are so many intangibles that are difficult to put into words. A problem for a professional writer, yes. But no less true.
