How has being an English graduate from Duke University helped shape your professional success?

Each of my professional activities requires a faciity with the English language and is enhanced by a familiarity with the Western intellectual canon,. My academic training at Duke engendered habits of reading in a broad range of disciplines and an appreciation for good writing. Professionally, I am a preacher and teacher, and both are informed by the rigorous standards of my undergraduate studies at Duke.
