How has being an English graduate from Duke University helped shape your professional success?:
Above all, my English degree helped me learn to critically analyze. Whether I'm writing a policy or legal brief, or designing a research study, I need to evaluate arguments, previous research, and sources. This skill is highly valued in graduate and professional roles, and it allows me to effectively distinguish between rhetoric versus substantive content.
