Please join us for the 2021 series of Blackburn Writer-in-Residence events (Feb. 16-24). Caryl Phillips, English professor at Yale University, novelist, playwright, and essayist, is returning as the Spring 2021 Blackburn Visiting Writer-in-Residence. Phillips is the author of The Final Passage (1985), Crossing the River (1993), A Distant Shore (2003), The Lost Child (2015), and A View of Empire at Sunset (2018).
