Blackburn Festival - The Mackey Sessions Reception and Readings

The Department of English at Duke University is pleased to present Blackburn Festival: The Mackey Sessions, a multi-day multi-venue poetry festival centered around music and myth in the work of Nate Mackey.
5-6pm – Welcome reception
6-8pm – Opening night reading featuring Fred Moten & Ed Roberson
In partnership with the Vice Provost for the Arts, the Franklin Humanities Center, Department of Music, William Blackburn Fund, Department of African & African-American Studies @ Duke University (AAAS), Duke Divinity School, Duke University Department of Religious Studies, Duke Performances, Program in Literature at Duke University, and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies at Duke University will include special guest poets, workshops, readings, and a jazz-heavy theme at our farewell brunch.
