I've had a long career in Academic Publishing, with a particular focus on Journals and Library Marketing. After Duke I attended the Radcliffe Publishing Course (now Columbia Publishing Course). In addition to OUP, I have worked at Duke Press, UNC, and The Voyager Company (the multimedia arm of The Criterion Collection).
I use the critical thinking skills that I honed at Duke every day in my work. Whether analyzing problems or crafting a message to speak to a particular audience with specific concerns, the Duke English Department helped me become a thoughtful and effective communicator. My liberal arts education and familiarity with world literature has also been an asset professionally as well as personally.
