Professional Background

I have been teaching professional writing and presentation skills seminars since 1978, working with employees at all levels in business and industry, particularly major energy companies, throughout the United States and internationally. As the past president of the Association of Professional Communication Consultants (APCC), I am well known in my professional community and served on the Board of the Center for Plain Language in Washington, D.C. In 2013 the Association of Women in Communication Tulsa Chapter honored me with its Saidie Adwon Lifetime Achievement Award.

How has being an English graduate from Duke University helped shape your professional success?
