I have been teaching at the college level for 6 years. Also have worked in strategic communications (marketing, public relations) for 6+ years.
My English major helped me hone my writing skills, which have been crucial to my professional success both in and out of academia. In fact, I now teach undergraduates in writing classes and maintain the same expectations of excellence that my Duke English professors had for me.
